There's nothing that I adore more than spending my last hours of an evening relaxing, reading and commenting on other blogs while writing my own. I'll be honest, when I started my blog I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with it, so I just kind of took an idea and ran for as long as I could - I'm still running.
My blog has allowed me to say things that I may not have been able to say face to face, it has also taught me that I am strong enough to fight any battles that I have on my own. I am now a firm believer that your mind is as strong as you choose it to be, I think that writing has made a huge impact in this thought process.
My typical night blogging routine is to light my candle, turn on my computer, plug my earphones in and usually have a mug of green tea by the side of me. I am very mellow when I write as it's my time to unwind after all the daily stresses of life. The music I tend to go for at the moment is usually Birdy or Lana Del Rey - I just find their voices so therapeutic and a perfect addition to my soothing atmosphere. Although my bedroom is quite small, at my desk it's very "Jemma", by this I mean that it has lots of quotes, magazine cut outs and personal things to allow me to feel inspired and at ease.
To me, blogging is such a beautiful and cathartic part of my day - I just love it and I'd be utterly lost without it.
