Dear Jemma,
You are strong enough to
let these emotions pass without drowning in them, I promise. It might not feel
like it, but deep within you know. You only have to look back to where you were
a few weeks ago and see how much you wanted to change and you have changed.
You’re learning how to live again and you’re teaching yourself that you can do
anything you set out to do, be any one you choose to be.
Sometimes it’s easier to
bury your head in the sand, to try and block everything out, but as you already
know it’s hard to pretend to be okay when you’re hurting inside. Don’t let
those thoughts that consume you get the better of your judgement. You are so talented,
kind-hearted and loved.
You have so much to give
to the world, so many experiences to relay and so many hearts to make lighter.
I’m so proud of you for not letting this consume you, and for taking the steps
to get out of this shadowed place before all the light fades from your eyes.
Just remember that you are
so worthy of life, love and success. Everything will come right one day, and
you’ll look back and see that the bad days made the good so much better, and
your weaknesses allowed you to strengthen.
But ultimately, look back
and know you are loved – always have been, always will be.
