Morning skincare routine

So a few days ago I wrote about my evening skincare routine. Today I thought I'd show you my four main staple products that I use in the morning before applying make-up.

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Shine Control Daily Facial Scrub:
This face wash has been my holy grail product for a really long time. I use this in the shower, with its small beads I find that this really works in to my skin without being too abrasive. I also really like that it is oil-free - I know that even with oily skin you need to have good oils on your face or else it will strip it of what it has naturally - as this means that it doesn't leave any residue on my face and I get out of the shower feeling nice and refreshed and my skin clear of any dead skin-cells or clogged pores. All of that being said, I will be looking at investing in a facial wash without any beads to see if it will help minimize the size of my pores.

Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion:
After my skin has dried and before getting dressed I put a pea-sized amount of this lotion on my fingers and dot it on to my face. I then gently rub it in to my skin, concentrating on my main problem areas which include my T-zone and cheeks, and working the remainder around my face. As the name suggests this is great for minimizing the appearance of pores on the skin. I have become much more concious of my pores as of late and so I'm really working to close them up as much as possible. Again, this product doesn't break me out, make my skin oily, or leave any time of residue on my face.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in 'Intense Care':
Whilst letting the previous product soak in to my skin I like to apply a generous helping of this product on to my lips as it really does hydrate my usually dry and chapped lips. I've tried quite a few and I have found that this is as good as the Burt's Bees lip-balm. That being said I feel like the packaging for the Baby Lips in quite cheap, but then they're relatively inexpensive so I guess it's not too bad to scrimp on such a minor detail. I love the product though, I find that it primes my lips ready for the lip stain that I usually apply and with a clear appearance and a neutral smell it is definitely a product that I will repurchase.

Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer:
The final product I use before putting on my make-up is this primer. I just feel that it is very light-weight, keeps everything in place and allows my skin to have a dewy finish without it being too oily. At a price of less than £7 then it is a no-brainer in my eyes. It's unscented, and soaks in to the skin quickly. I mainly love it because it acts as a great base for my skin by reducing any redness. As I try to not wear foundation on a day-to-day basis it works at evening out my complexion for the rest of my make-up.

Let my know what products you tend to use for your skincare, and if you have any face-wash recommendations?
