I really dislike the natural colour of my lips, they make my skin tone look really washed out and I feel naked if I don't have anything on my lips or my eyebrows filled in. Therefore, when I heard of the 'Kissable Balm Stains' floating around the blogosphere a few years ago I knew I had to get my hands on some of them.
Since the purchase of 'Berry' I have slowly been adding to my collection. First with 'Elusive' and then with 'Audacious' and 'Demure' last week (they were two for £10 in Boots and are still there if it tickles your fancy...). 'Berry' is my only Balm Stain with the other three being Colorburst Balms. The main difference between them is that the Balm Stain is not as nourishing on the lips. That being said, as long as you use a good lip-balm before its application there really is minimal difference.
They all retail for around £7.99 and are very much worth the price in my opinion. Like I said the Colorburst Balms are very moisturising and still stay on the lips for a few hours. I do like to top them up throughout the day - mainly to keep the pigment strong.
Another thing I love about all of these products is that they are very build-able. Especially with the strongest colour I find myself applying a thin layer and then smudging it in to my lips with my ring-finger. A little tip I've found is that if you want a strong coverage then I would prep your lips with lip-balm whilst priming your skin and then apply a layer of the product before doing your make-up, then go back and dab any excess and reapply the product for the deepest and most popping colour.
If you can't tell by now, these are my absolute staple product in my make-up bag, and with such a vast array of colours in their collections I know that I'll never run out of new colours to try.
