Maybelline Color Tattoo; review

I know, I know, these have been out for a long time. And I've been a fond user of them for a very long time now. After realising that I reach for these on a nearly everyday basis, I thought it was time for an introduction to them on JemmaInWords.

Firstly I'll talk about the colours that I purchased. Initially I made the sneaky purchase of 'On and on bronze'. I instantly fell in love with its high pigmentation, ease to put on, and the way that it's shimmer made my eyes look flawless with very minimal effort. That love affair then sparked my desire for 'Metallic pomegranite'. I looked at the colour in the pot and thought that it would be a deep purple colour on the lid. I was pleasantly surprised when I applied it to find that there were shades of plum, bronze, and coppery flecks. It adds a simple warmth to my eyes and also adds a bit more depth. I love both colours equally, and especially come autumn time it is a staple addition to my everyday make-up bag.

With it retailing for around £5 and with a really wide range of colours it is no wonder that it's such a well-loved holy grail product. I think that it's a really good dupe for the Mac paint-pots, and they're a fraction of the price. These cream eye shadows are perfect on their own for a really simple and quick look; and they're even better as a base all over the lid with another colour in the crease. I could rave about this product all day, every day. Please go and try them out - there will be a colour that's perfect for you and they're perfect for travelling as they're so small and compact. As I said, they really are my holy-grail, and a staple piece in my year-round make-up bag.
