When I write for 'Jemma In Words' I like to be relaxed, have a mug of tea and perfect 'chill-out' music on low in the background. So, without further ado, here is my late-night blogging playlist.
What are your favourite songs to blog to, or what type of music - if any - do you like to listen to?
To say that I love music is kind of an understatement, and I think there's nothing better than relaxing in the sun with a chilled beverage and some perfect summer songs. My taste in music is kind of eclectic, but I mainly listen to more indie songs, however there are some good little gems in the charts at the moment too. I love listening to Fearne Cotton's BBC radio show and her playlist always seems to be bang on! My spotfiy is rammed packed with so many playlists for tonnes of different occasions, these are just some of the songs I've been playing the most throughout the summer months!
So without further ado here are my 6 of my favourite songs at the moment - perfect for the hot weather!
Stolen Dance by Milky Chance:
Deckchairs On The Moon by Bipolar Sunshine:
Ghost by Ella Henderson:
Best Friend by Foster The People:
Shelter Song by Temples:
Spark by Amber Run:
These really are just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to my favourite songs, if you want to see me do more of these, or like the songs that I've chosen then be sure to let me know!
1. Catching the train again - it's super simple I know, but I hated catching trains alone for longer than I could remember. But after catching one a few weeks ago I realised it wasn't even that bad. Now I feel confident to catch them whenever I need to without the stress of worrying about it for days in advance. I conquered my fear! 2. Spotify - I used to spend far too much money on iTunes each month, so when I realised it would be cheaper for me to get Spotify Premium I jumped at the chance. To say that I love it is probably the biggest understatement ever. I love that I can have such a vast array of music literally at my fingertips, and make so many of my own playlists for any type of event/mood.
3. Meeting Adele - kind of anyway... if you saw my post yesterday then you'll know that I went to Madame Tussauds where I got the closest I'll probably ever be to my Queen - ahhh! #sadalert 4. Seeing a show on the West-End - it's something I've always kind of wanted to do, and it was amazing. Wicked is just fabulous and all the cast were insanely incredible. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat and now that I've seen one, I want to see them all (that just reminded of Pokemon - "Catch them all"... don't judge me...). 5. Going on the London Eye - I've done this once before about 11 years ago, although things haven't changed that much it was lovely to experience it again. The weather was perfectly clear and we could see for miles and miles. I would recommend this to anyone going to London who hasn't done it before. 6. Wagamama's - I've wanted to go here for so long, and now I can finally say that I have - and that I loved it. The food is insanely good, and you get a lot of it! The fruit juice is the best thing too, I'll certainly be returning. We went to the one in Leicester Square, so be sure to go there if you're around that area. 7. Going to Lush - I've always been a little intimidated by Lush - not that the staff aren't super inviting and lovely, I just tend to feel a bit suffocated. However, when in London I decided to bite the bullet and have a look around. I even ended up buying a few bits and pieces so expect some posts on those coming very soon! But more importantly I've now fought off that fear - yaya! 8. Compeed Blister patches - seriously, these saved my life. After walking around London my feet were ruined. These helped stop my feet from hurting quite as much. Absolute god-send to give my feet some comfort - heavenly!
9. Clean bed sheets - today I changed my bedding and washed it, I've already made it up and I'm trying to resist the urge to go and relish in its goodness. But, no. I'm going to wait till I'm tired and then relax in the joys of my beautifully clean and lovely smelling sheets. Lets put it this way, I'll not be going to bed late tonight! 10. Reading a lovely romantic book - when I was in London I purchased 'You're the one that I want', by Giovanna Fletcher. I won't talk about it too much because I plan on writing about it as soon as I've finished it - it's a good'un.
(I know this is a couple of days late, but time has just been escaping me lately) xx
