Losing yourself amongst your thoughts

The past few evenings I have found myself sat outside in my garden as the darkness fell over me, like a soft blanket over a sleeping child. It has provided me with such comfort. The sky is the same for all of us; we all watch the same moon awaken amongst the stars each night.

I've been feeling very philosophical, reminiscent, thankful for everything, I have been dealt many cards on this earth, had many challenges. But I have survived them, I'm still here. In some moments it is an uphill battle, filled with pain, tears and heartache. I survived. I can tell my story, and hear others. Share tales of enormity.

Each star holds a story; each light has a meaning. Even the darkening skies have meaning, for without them the stars could never shine bright enough. That's what I always forget; the dusk is only there to show us our own strength.

Why I love Company magazine

There's not often that I find a magazine that I truly love and buy every issue and read it back to back, every month. However, Company is the exception. Ever since the Ibiza issue of September 2012 I have been completely bowled over by its continuous appeal. Its content ranges from high street fashion edits, popular celebrity pieces, columns and many links to social media sources. In addition, one of my favourite parts of the magazine are the #trending, 'read it and tweet' and the new and up-coming music sections.

Not only does Company provide me with information about the latest fashion, make-up and lifestyles. It also gives me an escape. It allows me to dream bigger than I could ever imagine, hope for happiness, live for adventures. Every issue inspires me to write more, to try new products and to experience more of life. You see, behind this screen I'm a 20 year old girl with minimal life experience, social anxiety and a desire for life that reaches far beyond anything that I could tangibly imagine.

Company enhances the strong woman inside of me. With a hard focus on female success dispersed throughout it's well designed pages (which smell amazing might I just add... yes, I'm a book sniffer!) I find myself inspired to make steps towards living a more fulfilled life. My dream is to write, it's always been my dream; Company both inspires and encourages me to be the best version of myself that I can be and subtly reminds me that when it comes to dreams the skies really are the limit.
