It's not healthy, and I'm really trying to at least prioritise the guilt that I feel. I think the main motto is to understand that if you can't change it, you simply have to move forward. Also, if it's for your greater good, then don't feel sorry or guilty. In your life, you are the main priority. If something or someone is making you unhappy then you shouldn't have to carry on with it, just so that you keep someone else happy.
A bit part of my guilt is the fear of being selfish, I always like to put people's feelings before my own. More often than not, that ends up with me getting hurt. If I'd only made my feelings known earlier, well it would have saved a lot of heart-ache and pain in the long-run.
That leads me on to the most important concept of dealing with guilt. Moving on. If you keep beating yourself up, or wondering what if and re-playing moments in your head then you won't get any further and the feelings that you are harbouring won't get any easier to deal with. Never forget that you are the most important thing in all of this, and whatever you need goes. Be kind to yourself and remember that some times in life things just go wrong and there is nothing we can do to stop it other than riding over the bumps and taking the rough with the smooth.
