In the UK it doesn't get that hot very often, therefore whenever it does my skin just is not used to it. This means that if I wear a full face of makeup, by the end of the day it will have no doubt slid all the way down to my chin. To combat that I like to wear the most minimal make-up look that's also can give the impression of being a lot more full-on. The products are all drug-store bought and hassle free.
So I've already prepped my skin using my Soap and Glory Pore Moisture Lotion which just closes any open pores and leaves the skin nice and soft to apply everything. Firstly I like to apply the black eyeshadow from the BeautyUK eyeshadow palette to line my waterline and tightline. I then take a small amount and apply it to my lashline and use my ring finger to smudge it out. This gives a really simple look with a little bit more to it than just applying eyeliner. Taking my Maybelline Falsies mascara I put a generous coating on both my top and bottom lashes. Eyes are now done... simple!
Then for cheeks I keep it really simple. I love having dewy looking cheeks, so using a cream blush is just a no-brainer. My most reached for one at the moment is "Pop of Pink" from Rimmel London's 'Stay Blushed' collection. It lasts really well on the skin, and all you need is a pea sized amount rubbed between two fingers and then blended in to the apples of your cheeks.
Again, keeping it really simple on the lips I like to apply a good amount of Maybelline's Baby Lips in "Intensive Care" - just to get rid of any dryness and allow me to apply a smooth layer of my chosen lipstick. Talking of lipstick, the one that I have been reaching for most lately is from Revlon and it's their Colorbust Lacquer Balm in the shade "Demure". It's the perfect nude, with just the right amount of shimmer - perfect for the summer weather.
What's your favourite things to wear on your face during the hotter weather months?
